Badminton is more than just a sport in Malaysia – it's part of who we are. From the era of Lee Chong Wei to the new generation of Lee Zii Jia and doubles pair Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik, Malaysians have shown incredible support for our national athletes. Now, with slot777's Sports Betting platform, you're not just a spectator – you can be part of every heart-pounding moment by placing live bets as the action unfolds.
Slot777 offers the most comprehensive badminton betting markets of any platform in Malaysia. It goes well beyond simple win/lose wagers — we provide over 80 market types for every major match. You can bet on the first set winner, total points per set, set handicap, and even who scores the first point. All of this is available through an intuitive interface, whether you're on a desktop or your smartphone.
One of the most popular features among badminton fans on slot777 is the in-play, or live betting, system. While a match is in progress, odds are updated every 30 seconds based on what's actually happening on court. This means that if your favourite player is trailing in the first set, you can still back them at better odds for an overall win — or lock in your returns while they're ahead.
Placing a badminton bet on slot777 is designed to be as straightforward as possible. Start by registering a free slot777 account — it takes under two minutes and only requires your name, phone number, and email. Once your account is active, make a deposit using your preferred Malaysian payment method, such as Touch 'n Go eWallet, DuitNow, GrabPay, Boost, ShopeePay, or FPX via Maybank2u or CIMB Clicks. The minimum deposit for badminton betting is just RM 10.
Once funds are in your account, head to the Badminton section of the slot777 platform where you'll find all live and upcoming matches. Click on the match you want, select your preferred market type, enter your stake, and confirm. If your bet wins, your payout is credited to your account automatically as soon as the match ends.
Malaysia has a rich and proud badminton heritage. Our nation has claimed the Thomas Cup — the pinnacle of men's team badminton — five times, most recently in 1992. Across those decades, legendary names such as Tan Aik Huang, Razif Sidek, Jalani Sidek, Foo Kok Keong, and of course Lee Chong Wei have carried Malaysia's name to the highest stages of world badminton.
Now, a new generation — Lee Zii Jia, Ng Tze Yong, Aaron Chia, and Soh Wooi Yik — carries fresh hope for Malaysia on the international stage. Lee Zii Jia in particular has proven he can take down the world number one, cementing his place as one of the most dangerous players on the BWF World Tour circuit. At slot777, you can follow every step of their journey while giving yourself a chance to win along the way.
The Malaysia Open is one of the most anticipated events on the global badminton calendar. Its BWF Super 1000 status draws every top-ranked player in the world to our home soil. For Malaysian badminton fans who also use slot777, it's the most exciting time of year — the electric atmosphere combined with compelling betting opportunities makes every Malaysia Open match an experience like no other.

Understand the markets and apply these strategies to improve your chances of winning.
Before placing a bet, check the head-to-head record between the two players. Some players have a strong track record against certain opponents regardless of world ranking.
Injuries, fatigue from a previous match, or a packed schedule can have a significant impact. A player who competed the day before may not be performing at their peak.
Sometimes a weaker player starts the match strongly but loses momentum as it progresses. Hold off before placing an in-play bet to get a clearer read on how the match is developing.
If you fancy the underdog, handicap set betting offers better value than a straight win/loss bet at slot777.
Betting on total sets or points often delivers more consistent odds compared to match winner markets, especially when the two players are evenly matched.
Betting smart at slot777 means setting a daily wagering limit and sticking to it regardless of results. That discipline is the mark of a seasoned player.
Real experiences from Malaysian players who bet on badminton at slot777.
"During last year's Malaysia Open, I followed Lee Zii Jia from the first round all the way to the final. I placed an outright bet before the tournament started and got odds of 4.50. When he won, I walked away with over RM 2,000 in profit. slot777 is genuinely easy to use — depositing via TNG takes under a minute."
"I love the in-play betting feature on slot777. Watching Aaron and Wooi Yik, sometimes the odds shift fast when they're under pressure – that's exactly when I jump in. Odds updating every 30 seconds is genuinely responsive. I've won a few times using this strategy."
"I only discovered badminton betting through slot777 this year. I was worried it would be complicated, but it's actually really straightforward. There are loads of market types — I started with match winner to keep things simple. Withdrawals are smooth too; FPX straight to Maybank in about 10 minutes. A platform you can genuinely trust."
